Building and growing a nonprofit

In Tigray, northern Ethiopia, the Ethiopian government waged a war on the region in November 2020 in partnership with the Eritrean government and regional Amhara forces. This war has, in turn, become a war on the people of Tigray and has led to a devastating humanitarian crisis, with 600,000+ killed, 120,000+ survivors of sexual violence, and millions displaced, amongst other atrocities.

PROJECT NAME Omna Tigray

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Over the past two years I’ve led the marketing and partnerships work for Omna Tigray, a nonprofit supporting the people of Tigray amidst the war and thereafter. Alongside an incredible team of people, we’ve built various action-oriented awareness campaigns, built relationships amongst the private and public sector globally, and supported in efforts to advance justice and accountability.
